The Ascension Parish Tourism Commission is proud to host the “Taste of Ascension” culinary event. Taste of Ascension highlights the best cuisine Ascension Parish has to offer. We invite you to try some of the savory cuisine from many popular local restaurants who have created special price fixed menus that will be available for the two-week event. You can view the delicious offerings of the participating restaurants on the website. Stay tuned for more info on the 2018 event.

ASCENSION PARISH
TOURISM
COMMISSION

Ascension Parish Tourism Commission’s mission is to enhance and develop tourism for the betterment of residents and businesses in Ascension Parish. As Ambassadors to this great Parish, educating visitors about why they need to come to Ascension is what we do. Just off I10 between Baton Rouge and New Orleans makes Ascension easily accessible for visitors, conferences and sporting events. A parish filled with plantations, festivals, expo center, great food, accommodations, museums, outdoor activities, local entertainment and southern hospitality allows us to truly have something for every age.

“The Taste of Ascension initiative is a wonderful way for both locals and visitors to sample the many restaurants in our area. Locals will be reacquainted with their favorite restaurants while visitors can experience our local flavor for the first time.  We appreciate Ascension Tourism for driving traffic to our restaurants and sharing our cuisine with the world.”

– Kevin Kelly, Owner, Houmas House Plantation
